At Kumarakom, the Foundation is involved in a variety of activities to help raise awareness among the youth, educate them and keep them engaged with their roots and community. For instance, the Foundation plays an active part in equipping the local team for the Nehru Trophy Boat Race, an important sports and cultural activity. It is Rashmi Kamani’s strong belief that such activities not only keep the community together but help the youth get a grounded development. Thus they made their entry in the sports arena also.

The Foundation also provides assistance in conducting the local Onam day celebration by way of donation. Onam is the biggest cultural event of Kumarakom and celebrated with much fanfare and delight. The Foundation helps the community, especially the youth to honour its traditions keeping alive communal engagement and cultivate a healthy understanding of one’s surroundings.
